On-Site Computer Equipment Maintenance (PC Maintenance)

Contract #: GTA000156

Contract Period: Through June 30, 2010

All purchases made under this contract must be for public use only. Purchases for personal use by public employees or officials are prohibited.

Purpose: These contracts provide on-site repairs and maintenance of desktop terminal devices and network devices in the state’s 12 Economic Development regions. Winning contractors have submitted a standard seat price for a processor with mouse and keyboard, monitor and a local printer. Agencies can now choose from multiple vendors by region to acquire services at a discount.

Background: Previous contracts for these services were limited in scope, and most service calls were out of scope and subject to higher prices. The new contracts are generally more inclusive and will be less expensive than the previous contracts.

Important Note: Each agency needs to inventory and agree upon a seat count with the servicing contractor for a per seat monthly rate. By doing so, agencies can limit individual service calls that may be out of scope and subject to travel fee/mileage charges.

To use this contract: Contact the contractors for the regions you require service and provide a seat count to negotiate an annual rate for services. You may seek volume discounts from the vendors, but they are not required to reduce seat or on-call rates below what has been bid. This concept is similar to the GSA Schedule 70 process in which the prices offered are not to exceed market representative pricing. You can allow vendors in each region to sub-compete to find the best-valued contract.

The contract numbers all start with the same enterprise number, followed by an individual two-digit vendor identifier. Be sure to note the full contract number and unique identifier when placing an order with a vendor.

Eligible Users: Any state agency, city, county, municipality or other political subdivision that agrees to be bound by GTA’s Master Agreement Terms and Conditions.
